Responsible for choosing and negotiating with approved vendors from both domestic and international sources. This includes placing purchase orders based on product requirements set by different departments within the organization.
Evaluate bids, choose and recommend suppliers, and negotiate price, quality, and service.
Expeditiously procure parts or materials that are in short supply or critical to the organization.
Perform analyses of the market and evaluate competition.
Negotiate and resolve issues with suppliers such as damage claims, rejections, loss, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
Conduct visits to supplier sites and assess their production capability, performance, and delivery as per requirements.
